Drive-In Christmas Eve Services Information & Registration
Please note that the preference is still for online gathering. The epidemic is in a significant surge in Georgia, so we need to be very careful for everyone’s safety. No one has to meet in-person, and we will broadcast our Church-based recording of the Christmas Eve Eucharist online at 5:00 PM on Christmas Eve. The recording of the service will also be available to view after the service is over.
Thank you for your patience as we try to figure out the most creative way to come together to celebrate the birth of our Lord and to do so as safely as we can. Staying in cars will help everyone to stay safe and warm! Here are the protocols we will follow for everyone’s safety:
Follow the direction of the parking lot volunteers who will direct you as to where to park your car. We are planning for the best visibility of the stage as possible, including space between cars.
Audio of the worship leaders and music will be broadcast over an FM transmitter to your radio (this only reaches those who are in the parking lot). This way you can keep your windows up and stay cozy inside.
Everyone will stay in their cars the whole time. As eager as we are to greet each other in person, we must maintain distance to keep each other safe. Bulletins will be available online; we will not be handing out paper bulletins, nor will we be projecting the liturgy for these services.
For Communion, the priests will take the sacrament (the consecrated bread only) to the cars; please hold your hands out of the windows to receive. They will be masked and we ask that you also wear a mask as you receive.
The building will not be open for use, and no nursery or restrooms will be available.
The three services will all have the same liturgy; the only difference is the time.
If plans change and you need to cancel your registration, please contact us as soon as possible to open up availability to others. Please register for each person coming.
