March 2022 Updates to COVID Protocols

Dear Friends in Christ,

With COVID cases and severity significantly dropped in recent weeks, and with updates to CDC guidance, we are lifting nearly all COVID protocols for our ministries. Note that many of your brothers and sisters in Christ will still need to be cautious, as some are fighting cancer, and others have immune compromises or other risks. So not everyone will be ready to hug or shake hands. But in terms of protocols, masks are now optional for everyone everywhere, and attendance records are no longer required. We will have open seating on the left side of the church at all services; we will continue to sit every other pew on the right until we need the space for increased attendance. The one remaining protocol is from the bishop: consecrated wine will continue to be served by intinction only. As soon as the bishop allows, we will also offer sipping from the common cup. We continue to benefit from the new air cleaning systems installed throughout the building; they will serve us well going forward.

We are coming up on two years of this long journey. Thank you so much for your faithfulness to God in this place and in your daily lives through all of the changes and adaptation, losses and challenges. Thank you for being part of God’s blessings to us even in this strange time. Please join us for the Parish Update Dinner on Saturday night, March 12 at 6:30PM. We will celebrate God’s blessings to us and talk about our renewal in the days ahead. You can register for the dinner (and childcare if you need it) here.

Praise God for the many ways in which he has sustained us safely through this pandemic, and the ways in which he has equipped us to thrive in the future as we pursue our mission growing disciples of Jesus Christ.

Yours in Christ,
