Stained Glass Fund: Have you ever wanted to donate a small or even a large gift to St. Peter & St. Paul in honor or memory of a loved one and weren’t sure what your allotted money would buy? Kitty Tuttle has already submitted beautiful pictures of the stained glass windows showing that even a small donation, together with others, will purchase one of the beautiful windows. All gifts will have a plaque with your loved one’s name so that they will be forever remembered. Please contact Rev. Tom Pumphrey if you would be interested in a memorial gift.
Memorial Garden Renovation Fundraiser: It is with great excitement that the Memorial Garden committee and Vestry announce the beginning of the beautification of the Garden. We are so fortunate to have such a lovely space to not only inter the cremated remains of our loved ones, but to also be able to enjoy the beauty and solitude of this special place on our church grounds. This project will be accomplished in multiple phases, the first three:
- Upgrade the irrigation and plantings in 4 planters where cremated remains are interred. $2,500 required to begin work.
- Improve the fountain reliability, water management and basin integrity so that this lovely water feature can be returned to normal use. $4,500 required to begin work.
- Improve the ground plantings, building drip line improvement and landscaping under the crepe myrtles on the east side of the pathway. $1,500 required to begin initial work.
You are invited to become a member of the Memorial Garden Guild which will be a team of people with no special skills except the desire to keep the garden beautiful. The team will meet on a rotation every two months under the guidance of Winsome Hawkins, parishioner and Master Gardener, during the growing season to care for the garden.
We are counting on the support of our parishioners to donate to this project, understanding that there are NO suggested amounts for your donations. Any amount, no matter what size, will be appreciated. There is also an opportunity for you to purchase one of the key trees or plants in the name of any special member or loved one. $2,500 will need to be raised to begin Phase One. Checks may be made out to The Episcopal Church of St. Peter & St. Paul, noting in the memo line “Memorial Garden Renovation Fund.” Green envelopes are located in pews of the church nave for contributions to this project.
